Ranch Heavy Oiled 5/8” Pony One-Ear Headstall and Throatlatch is designed for riders who want a classic and durable western headstall for ponies. The design combines functionality, comfort, and durability, making it ideal for everyday riding, ranch work, and training.

The headstall is made from strong harness leather, which is known for its strength and long lifespan. During the tanning process, additional oils are added to the leather, giving the material high resistance to wear while maintaining natural flexibility. This process ensures that the headstall can withstand heavy use both in the barn and during riding.

The classic one-ear design provides a clean and traditional western look without a browband. The rolled and stitched ear loop offers both comfort and a refined finish while helping the headstall stay securely in place on the horse’s head.

The headstall features 5/8" straight cheeks, creating a simple and functional appearance. The bit is attached with leather lace ties, a traditional solution in western riding that makes it easy to attach or replace the bit.

For added security, a 1/2" throatlatch is included to help keep the headstall stable during riding. The headstall is also equipped with nickel plated hardware, providing both an elegant look and excellent durability.

This headstall is especially suitable for smaller western horses and ponies and works well for disciplines such as trail riding, ranch riding, horsemanship, and recreational riding.
